STANDARD MOLDING PLANT
THE VARIATIONS FOR THE TOPIC “MOLDING, POURING, COOLING”

Essentially standard molding plants are consisting of the molding line with the core setting line, the pouring line and the cooling line with shake-out station.

When designing the plant, these areas can be changed at choice and adapted to the individual requirements of the foundries.

When longer cooling times are needed, so, further cooling lines can for example be integrated in the

plant: also as buffer areas with extremely long cooling times, for cooling down poured molds as long as desired.
THE MOLDING AND CORE SETTING
 

 

 

The molds are produced by a SEIATSU air-flow squeeze molding machine in two process steps: pre-compaction by compressed air and subsequent compaction by hydraulic squeezing.
The SEIATSU molding process is extremely compatible to the environment – noise level lower than 85 dB(A). This saves the ears of people employed in foundries.
Before covering the mold, the cores are set, the mold back is cut off and the boring for the sprue cup and, if required, for the feeder, the riser of the vents are made.
