JOLT-SQUEEZE PROCESS |
 |
The jolt-squeeze molding machines were widely used in the past, for their efficiency of sand filling in the cavities through a strong vertical movement. However, today their utilization is restricted, due to vibration and noise problems. Its moldability is defined by the energy intensity of inertia (acceleration) movement and number of “jolts”.
With the “jolt” process the inferior area gets more hardness, however in the superior superficial side its hardness is smaller. The squeeze is done in order to obtain the homogeneous hardness in the mold.
